About Us - Community Center of Praise

Welcome to the Community Center of Praise where we worship and glorify our Lord, our Redeemer, our Savior and our soon coming King. John 14:1-3 says “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”

We at CCP do believe in this promise given by Jesus Christ. We are expecting His soon return to come and take us home. Oh my brothers and sisters, it is going to be a grand occasion. I don’t know how it is going to be. All I know is that Paul said that it has not entered into the hearts of man what the Lord has gone to prepare for those who love Him. (1 Corinthians 2:9). You do not want to miss out as we travel through the galaxies into glory when Christ comes again. You do not want to miss out when we gather around the great white throne. You do not want to miss out when we sing about our experiences here on earth. I know you want to be there. I know you want your family to be with you as well.

We would like for you to join us as we study together to help us prepare for that great day when the saints go marching in. Visit with us daily as we search the scriptures to see what is required of us to be among the group that Jesus will take with Him when He comes back again. To be among the selected group, there are certain things that we must do.

1. Acknowledge Jesus Christ as the Son of God. He told Nicodemus in John 3:3 that “Unless a man is born again,he cannot see the Kingdom of God.” Being born again here means that you must denounce the world and its sinful ways and accept Jesus Christ fully. Accepting Him means that you must get rid of the old habits that leads you very far away from God. Some these habits may be: lying, jealousy, stealing, backbiting, commandment breaking, just to mention a few.

2. You must accept Jesus as your personal Savior and believe that He died for you. By His death we have access to God. You must accept His death on Calvary’s cross and acknowledge His Kingship and Lordship. You must learn more about Him by reading the bible daily. The bible teaches us about Jesus and the Amazing love that He has for you and me.

3. You must have faith in Him. The book of Hebrews says in Hebrews 11:6 that without Faith, it is impossible to please Him. If you don’t have in Him, then you will not trust Him. If don’t have Faith in Him, then you will not believe His forgiveness. Without Faith in Him, you will not trust His word that He is coming again to take us with Him into the Kingdom that He has gone to prepare for you and me.

As you contemplate on Jesus, the Center of my joy, I will invite you to open the bible right now to John 14:1-3. Meditate on these words. Pray that God will give you a fresh new look into the Sacrificial Lamb of God. He came as a baby in a manger. But when He comes, He will come as King of Kings and Lords. No one will crucify Him this time. He will come to those who believe in Him. Those who choose not to believe in Him will perish. I want to you today to choose God. I want to invite you today to accept God. I want to invite you today to confess your all you sins and forsake them. Will you do that? Will you take God seriously? Remember that tomorrow is not promised to anyone.
